Hotels
Over the past 10 years or so I have been awarded the opportunity to travel with work to places I would never normally have been able to visit. In addition to lots of flights, this has also meant staying in lots of hotels.

Foggy Sunday Afternoon
Bank Holiday Sunday, the weekend of the Kings Coronation, and a day trip to Whitley Bay to try to avoid anything to do with it! Glorious sunshine in the city centre, but down at the seafront a cool wind and fog blow in from the North Sea.

Whitstable, Margate & Dungeness
Vacation down on the South coast. Staying in Whitstable for the first time in 20+ years and finally got to visit Dungeness.

Huntsville
One of the best memories of Huntsville was arriving in the dark late at night, driving down I-565 to my hotel, and in the distance seeing a full size Saturn V rocket illuminated by the freeway. If you are in town then do make sure you visit the U.S. Space and Rocket Center

Long Beach
Fleeting visit to do some work with an oil company, making a change from the usual universities and colleges I normally deal with. Also managed to seek out some rather excellent tacos.

New York
I had been working up in Westchester County, but that left me with a Saturday for my first ever trip to Manhattan. A very cold day, but safe to say New York was everything you wanted it to be; Can’t wait to vist again
